People on the Move

5/15/2020

People on the Move highlights the career advancements of high-level trailblazers working professionally in diverse areas of standardization, contributing every day to the strength and success of the U.S. standards and conformance community.

The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has appointed Michael Dakduk as president and CEO.

Prior to joining IICRC, Mr. Dakduk was the executive vice president and director of government relations at Career Education Colleges and Universities (CECU), a national organization that serves postsecondary career education schools, staff, and students. He has also served as executive director of Student Veterans of America (SVA), a coalition of student veteran groups from colleges around the world.

"After a thorough and comprehensive search, we are pleased to find the best individual to lead the IICRC," said IICRC chairman Kevin Pearson. "We are confident Michael's extensive background of overseeing successful non-profit organizations focused on education and his international experience will provide tremendous value to IICRC stakeholders and the industry as a whole."

The World Millwork Alliance (WMA), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has announced that Jeffery Williams is its new director of membership.

Mr. Williams has more than 30 years of executive management experience in the millwork industry. Previously, he was the corporate millwork manager for OrePac Building Products, a wholesale distributor to the building industry based in Wilsonville, Oregon. Mr. Williams has also held key roles within WMA. He has been executive committee treasurer since 2017, and was a member of WMA's board of directors prior to that.

"The value proposition that Jeff brings to WMA as our new director of membership is substantial," said Rosalie Leone, WMA president and CEO. "Jeff's exceptional skills and decades of real-world experience in the millwork industry and operations management uniquely position him as a leader who will turn a laser-focus on forwarding the targeted interests of our membership. We are so very pleased to welcome Jeff in this new role."
