Celebrate National Tire Safety Week June 3-9
The Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA), a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), is celebrating National Tire Safety Week, June 3-9, 2012. The eleventh annual event is an initiative of RMA's "Be Tire Smart - Play Your PART" program, a year-round effort designed to help drivers keep their tires in good working condition.

During National Tire Safety Week, manufacturers and retailers across the U.S. work to educate motorists about proper tire care and maintenance. In addition, RMA offers online public service announcements on how proper tire inflation pressure can save you money and keep you safe, how to be tire smart during summer travel, and understanding proper tire repair. RESNET Helps Americans Save Energy and Money This Summer
The Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, is offering SmartHome and energy saving tips as interactive web tools to encourage Americans to take small steps that make a big difference in the fight against climate change.

The online tools offer energy saving tips that can help make homes more comfortable and cut down on high energy costs. Access the RESNET SmartHome and energy saving tools.

PCA Offers Concrete Sustainability Toolkit
The Concrete Joint Sustainability Initiative (CJSI) works to educate industry leaders, workers, and consumers about the role and responsibilities of concrete in sustainable development. The Initiative is a coalition comprised of the Portland Cement Association (PCA), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, and twenty other associations representing companies who make or maintain concrete structures.

CJSI has developed the Concrete Sustainability Toolkit, an online resource providing information sheets and presentations for knowledge sharing and quick reference. The informational sheets are issue focused and offer industry insights and helpful pointers. The tools provided will help inform stakeholders on the social values and role of concrete structures in sustainable development.
