ASME Shares Interviewing Tips for Engineers
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has published a two-part series providing tips for young engineers entering the interview process.

The articles advise that hiring managers are seeking a combination of technical skills and "soft skills," such as communication and presentation skills and the ability to work alone or in a team with equal capability. Many seek engineers who can bring managerial talent to the position as well. Engineers are encouraged to look outside of their technical field to find some of the best opportunities, linking their expertise to other applications in emerging areas such as infrastructure, artificial intelligence, or anything involving drones or software.
