People on the Move highlights the career advancements of high-level trailblazers working professionally in diverse areas of standardization, contributing every day to the strength and success of the U.S. standards and conformance community.

The Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of America (RESNA), a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has appointed Charlie Raphael as director of certification and education. In this role, Mr. Raphael will lead the organization's flagship credentialing program, including the ATP (Assistive Technology Professional) and SMS (Seating and Mobility Specialist) certifications.

Prior to joining RESNA, Mr. Raphael was the director of certification, education, and training for the Application Developers Alliance. He has over 10 years of experience working in certification, and brings with him a strong background in marketing. Mr. Raphael holds a BA in communications from George Mason University.

PMMI, the Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has named Bryan Griffen its director of industry services. His role will be focused on industry services including the OpX Leadership Network, the Organization for Machine Automation and Control (OMAC), the Packaging Management Council (PMC), and technical standards.

Mr. Griffen has over two decades of experience in the industry, including 19 years at Nestle, where he rose to the position of group engineering manager, corporate engineering for Nestle USA and Canada. He is the chairman of OMAC, where he helped expand the group's international reach and increase membership by 50 percent. He holds a doctorate in industrial technology from Northern Iowa University.

"Bryan is well-known throughout our industry for his significant experience with Nestle as well as his work with OMAC and other global standards that have truly created shared value in manufacturing. Having him on the PMMI team will enhance our ability to bring together our members and their customers," says Jim Pittas, PMMI chief operating officer.
