People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards and conformance community.

PMMI, the Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has appointed Jim Pittas as its next president and CEO. Mr. Pittas is currently serving as PMMI COO, and will assume the role of CEO upon the retirement of current president and CEO Charles Yuska in May 2018.

Mr. Pittas has been with PMMI for nearly 17 years, managing PACK EXPO trade shows as the organization's top member service and source of revenue. He was recommended for the CEO position by a unanimous decision of PMMI's Executive Committee.

"Jim has been involved as a member of my leadership team for years," said Yuska. "He has grown the PACK EXPO brand from a single annual event to a portfolio of shows occurring throughout the year and across North America. I feel very strongly that Jim is well fit to build on our past success and lead PMMI to a bright and prosperous future."

The Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has appointed David Post as director of research. In this role, Mr. Post will oversee research, analytics, and consultation related to financially material sustainability risks and opportunities. He will also identify emerging issues, test materiality, and strengthen the quality of evidence for topics that are included in SASB standards.

Mr. Post has extensive experience as an equity portfolio manager and research analyst, and has led the equity research departments of two multi-billion dollar AUM firms. Prior to joining SASB, he was a client portfolio manager for TIAA Global Asset Management, focusing on four environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies.

"David's extensive experience engaging with companies and investors, managing research analysts, and driving active investment processes make him an ideal candidate for the director of research role," said Dr. Jean Rogers, chair of the SASB Standards Board. "We are thrilled to welcome David as SASB's new director of research."
