Join ANAB’s Inaugural Conformity Assessment Symposium in Orlando

ANSI invites all stakeholders across the standardization community to join experts from industry, government, and conformity assessment for the ANAB Conformity Assessment Symposium (ACAS) on January 19-20, 2026, at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Conference Center in Orlando, Florida.

In addition to the symposium, ANAB is offering a separate Professional Development Training, running concurrently for those seeking specialized technical training as well as being interested in ACAS. The two programs are designed to serve different professional development needs within the community:

ACAS Program For Leaders and Experienced Professionals

Tailored for professionals in standardization, government, and industry, these sessions tackle the most pressing challenges facing conformity assessment today, including:

  • The Interface of Conformity Assessment in the EU and U.S.
  • AI’s Impact on Conformity Assessment
  • Effectiveness of Accreditation Today and Tomorrow: What’s Working, Improvements Needed, What Should the Future Look Like?
  • Development of Standards and Conformity Assessment
  • Conformity Assessment in Civil and Criminal Law
  • ISO/IEC Standards and the Conformity Assessment Community

Attendees will have the opportunity to collaborate more closely with colleagues during breakout sessions on laboratory, inspection, and related activities (forensics and non-forensics); management systems; validation and verification; product certification, and credentialing.

Speakers include esteemed voices from ANAB, ANSI, ASTM, Certient AI, Inteleos, Microsoft, NFPA, NSF, TIC Council, UKAS, and more. View the agenda.

Professional Development Training – For Laboratory Staff and Emerging Professionals

Alongside ACAS, this focused training supports laboratory staff and emerging professionals in building essential conformity assessment competencies. Training is taught by experienced ANAB practitioners and is limited to 50 participants, with registration including access to ACAS keynotes, lunches, and an evening networking reception. The curriculum covers:

  • Measurement Uncertainty: Understanding the basics and how to communicate uncertainty effectively
  • Method Validation & Verification: Why it matters and how to ensure your methods meet expectations
  • Risk-Based Thinking: Embedding risk management into your laboratory’s culture
  • Internal Auditing: Practical tools for conducting successful internal audits

Client Workshop

Immediately following ACAS, the ANAB Client Workshop will take place on January 21 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and is available to ANAB-accredited clients who are also registered for ACAS or the Professional Development Training. Participate to gain updates on accreditation requirements and participate in discussions tailored to your sector.
