People on the Move

2/12/2010
People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards community.

It is with the greatest appreciation that the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) announces the upcoming retirement of Henrietta Scully, senior program manager, ISO Team (ISOT), on March 1, 2010, after nearly 48 years of faithful service to the Institute.

Ms. Scully has had a long and successful career at ANSI, with the majority of her years spent in support of domestic and international standards development activities. She is well-known to many of our members and widely recognized for always going the extra mile in providing answers to complex questions and any assistance required.

Over the years, Ms. Scully has supported programs that have engaged nearly all of ANSI's organizational members. For the last 11 years she has managed the day-to-day ISOT operations, interfacing with over 200 ANSI-accredited U.S. Technical Activity Groups (TAGs) and over 100 ANSI-delegated secretariats in the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and Joint Technical Committee (JTC) 1 program areas to provide support to over 550 ANSI participating (P)-membership activities.

Ms. Scully's dedication to her work and outstanding service to our members have earned her the respect and admiration of ANSI staff, members, and colleagues throughout the community. Her steadfast commitment to ISOT has helped ANSI navigate numerous operational transitions, including migration from paper document distribution to electronic document management, use of ISO's Livelink-based Technical Committee (TC) server and balloting systems, and the implementation of ANSI's own ISOT Sharepoint directory. Through it all, Ms. Scully has always remained focused on providing excellent service to our members. She has been a true asset to the Institute and the U.S. standards community, and her contributions will be missed.

ANSI offers heartfelt thanks to Ms. Scully for her service and wishes her all the best in her retirement.
