OASIS Seeks Participants for New Work on Privacy Standards for Software Engineers
OASIS (the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) is launching a project to define privacy governance and documentation standards for software engineers. Privacy by Design Documentation for Software Engineers (PbD-SE) will make it possible for designers to embed privacy into the architecture of their IT systems. The standard will offer engineers guidance on how to execute Privacy by Design (PbD) principles throughout the software development life cycle.

The first meeting of the PbD-SE Technical Committee will be held via teleconference on December 5, 2012. For more information about getting involved, visit the PbD-SE Technical Committee website.

OASIS, an organizational member of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), is a non-profit consortium that drives the development, convergence, and adoption of open standards for the global information society.

ISEA Survey Invites Safety Equipment Manufacturers to Provide Feedback on Trade Shows
The International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has launched an online survey about safety industry trade shows. With an abundance of national, regional, and sector-specific shows every year, safety equipment manufacturers are often pulled in many directions, with the challenge of weighing the costs and benefits of various shows and other marketing opportunities.

To help enhance the trade show experience for exhibitors and attendees alike, ISEA is seeking to understand customers' priorities and decision-making processes with regard to trade shows via this brief survey. The survey is available here.
