The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) invites all members to recommend qualified candidates for the 2014 ANSI Board of Directors. Nominations must be received by Monday, June 3, 2013, and are for terms beginning January 1, 2014.
ANSI strives to ensure balance and diversity within its membership and is seeking Board members who enhance member relationships and networks. To facilitate the nomination process, ANSI has compiled a set of guidelines that outline the sectors that are currently underrepresented in ANSI's Board of Directors. These guidelines, nomination forms, general information, and ANSI's code of ethics are all available in the ANSI Online Library.
Nominations require a biographical statement and a letter of corporate support (note: letter of corporate support is not required for corporate officers or for individual and government members). Candidates will be reviewed by the 2013 Board Nominating Committee, and nominations by that Committee will subsequently be balloted for election by the ANSI membership. Please note that only one nomination form per ANSI Member will be accepted.
The Board is responsible for the management and control of the activities, property, and affairs of ANSI, including the strategic direction of the Institute, the annual budget, and the scope of responsibilities of the Board and Institute Committees, Councils, and Boards.
Nomination forms may be submitted through Monday, June 3, 2013, to Tricia Power, ANSI manager of corporate governance and legal affairs ([email protected]; fax: 212.840.2298). Nominations may also be mailed to:
