Only eight weeks remain for members of the international standards and conformity assessment community to register to take part in World Standards Week (WSW) 2013, which will be held September 30-October 4, 2013, in Washington, DC. WSW is an annual event hosted by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) - the coordinator of the U.S. voluntary standardization system - where standards and conformity professionals come together in the spirit of collaboration and cooperation. The deadline for registration for WSW is September 20, 2013. Individuals interested in making use of a room block organized by ANSI at the Hotel Monaco for Monday, September 30, through Thursday, October 3, at a discounted rate of $359/night, plus tax, must make their reservations by Wednesday, August 30.
