The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has approved the creation of a new project committee (PC) that will focus on management systems specific to educational organizations. Secretariat duties for the new group, ISO PC 288, Educational organizations management systems - Requirements with guidance for use, will be performed by the South Korean member body to ISO, the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS).

As the U.S. member body to ISO, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is seeking organizations interested in serving as the administrator of a U.S. technical advisory group (TAG) to ISO PC 288, or to participate in the TAG's activities. The U.S. TAG will be responsible for advising ANSI on voting positions relevant to proposed and in-development standards, and carrying out detailed discussions related to these documents. All stakeholder organizations in relevant fields are strongly encouraged to take part in the U.S. TAG and its activities.
