Patricia Griffin, the
American National Standards Institute (ANSI)'s vice president and general counsel, will testify on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on the Judiciary, Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet as part of a hearing on "The Scope of Copyright Protection." During the hearing, Ms. Griffin is expected to discuss the incorporation by reference (IBR) of voluntary consensus standards into government regulations, as well as other issues related to the U.S. standardization system.
Ms. Griffin will appear before the subcommittee at 10:00 a.m. on January 14; video footage of her testimony will be streamed online.
