Building upon the success of the first year, ANSI kicked off the second year of the U.S.-China SCCP with its seventh workshop, the "U.S.-China Workshop on Digital Energy," held June 23, 2014, in Beijing. Organized in cooperation with the U.S. Commercial Service and ITI, the workshop provided participants with the opportunity to discuss: information and communication technology (ICT) in low-carbon development; regional digital energy management platforms; industrial energy saving integrated solutions; the Internet of Things (IOT) and energy efficiency; double integration and energy conservation; and energy management center construction. The exchange paved the way for the transfer of U.S.-developed ICT to China and garnered the support of high-level officials within both the U.S. and Chinese governments.
Pictures and proceedings from the seventh workshop are available online.
Looking ahead, ANSI plans to hold the following U.S.-China SCCP workshops in September 2014:
