While in China, Mr. Tretler also attended several events in Shanghai, including the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with China's National Institute for Food and Drug Control (NIFDC) [ see related news item] and the 10th workshop held under the U.S.-China SCCP.
ANSI leadership meets frequently with Chinese officials as an important step in maintaining the relationships that make member initiatives possible. Mr. Tretler's meetings follow several high-level visits by Chinese delegations to Washington, DC and precede a planned visit to China by S. Joe Bhatia, ANSI president and CEO, in 2015.
