The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) will host Standards and the Global Supply Chain on March 12, 2015, from 11:30-2 pm EST in the Cannon House Office Building's Caucus Room in Washington, D.C. The event will feature a dialogue with U.S. leaders on global supply chain initiatives and the significant role of voluntary standards and conformance in creating solutions that cross borders.
As global market growth transforms the supply chain, the utilization of international standards helps businesses develop credibility amid a multitude of global business challenges— including safety and security. The March 12 event will explore broad-interest topics that impact business operations across the globe, including:
Worker safety and the new international standard ISO 45001, Occupational health and safety management systems - Requirements
Anti-bribery initiative ISO/CD 37001, Anti-bribery management systems
Global food safety efforts, including the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA's) Food Safety Modernization Act
Global distribution of clean and efficient cook stoves.
