On July 21, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Network on Smart and Sustainable Cities (ANSSC) will host its monthly webinar from 2-3:30 pm EDT on the work of the 2030 Districts Network and Architecture 2030. The featured speaker will be Vincent Martinez, director of research and operations for Architecture 2030.
The 2030 Districts Network reduces energy use, water use, and transport emissions through public-private partnerships in designated urban areas across North America. This webinar will provide an overview of the 2030 Districts and the 2030 Districts Network, which is convened by Architecture 2030. Participants will learn about:
The unique partnerships that bring property owners and managers together with local governments, businesses, and community stakeholders
How the 2030 Districts provide a business model for urban sustainability through collaboration, leveraged financing, and shared resources
How the 2030 Districts Network supports peer exchange across districts, stores and shares data, creates national partnership relations, and influences national policy on transportation infrastructure, and building water and energy efficiency
As the director of research and operations for Architecture 2030, Mr. Martinez is responsible for in-depth technical information, data analyses, and summary reports on 2030's activities. He is also the head of the Architecture 2030's Seattle office, where he acts as interim director of the 2030 Districts Network for ten member cities. Mr. Martinez serves as a founding board member of the Seattle 2030 District, and in collaboration with AIA Seattle, oversees the development and implementation of the AIA 2030 Professional Education Series.
