The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) reminds all interested stakeholders to register and attend its upcoming Personnel Certification Accreditation workshop, scheduled August 6-7, from 9:00am-5:00pm at ANSI headquarters in Washington, D.C. Designed to present the conformity assessment concepts defined in ISO/IEC 17065, Conformity assessment - Requirements for bodies certifying products, processes and services, this course will highlight the standard's requirements and benefits, and provide insight into why the standard has become the international benchmark for product certification. It will also provide participants with the information they need to initiate a self-assessment process that will identify strengths—and gaps-in organizational policies and procedures.
The course will also be held on November 19-20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at ANSI's headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Representatives of corporations, organizations, scheme owners, government agencies, and others who operate product/process/services certification programs or who wish to learn more about the ANSI accreditation process are invited to enroll.
Participants will review the accreditation requirements of ISO/IEC 17065; define terminology and identify documents, best practices, and other resources that can be helpful in building an understanding of the standard; identify what content (including types of documents and data) may be helpful in demonstrating compliance with each requirement and how this content is reviewed during an assessment; and other essential topics related to the standard.
