The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) will host a workshop in London that will explore the role and benefits of conformity assessment standards in managing risk for the insurance industry on November 26, 2016. The Conformity Assessment Committee (CASCO) workshop is an opportunity to share expectations, experiences, and best practices related to insurance industry and conformity assessment working together to address the issue of risk. As the U.S. member body to ISO, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) encourages relevant stakeholders to register for the event.
The half-day workshop will be facilitated by Anthony Hilton, senior commentator for the Evening Standard and The Independent and former business editor of the Evening Standard. The event is intended to unite experts from the conformity assessment and insurance industries, regulators, standards developers, and business representatives to discuss pressing issues such as extreme events and business continuity planning, reducing exposure to product liability claims, the challenges of globalized supply chains, and more.
