The
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) will host a full-day regional workshop in Vancouver, Canada, on April 28, 2017, in an effort to highlight the latest developments for ISO in the field of service standardization. The
American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is the U.S. member body to ISO, and encourages all relevant services sector stakeholders to attend. The workshop is intended to unite stakeholders to address the challenges, gaps, and opportunities for standardization in the services sector, as it gains recognition as an economic growth engine [
see ANSI's Focus on Service Standards], and as a key employer across the globe. While the program will be broad, it will include a particular focus on conformity assessment issues.
The event will be held in collaboration with ISO's Conformity Assessment Committee (CASCO). CASCO develops policy and publishes standards related to conformity assessment; it does not perform conformity assessment activities. Membership to CASCO is open to full and correspondent members.
