The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) invites all prospective participants to register for the 2017 ANSI Company Member Forum (CMF) Spring Meeting, which will be held at the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) headquarters in Quincy, MA, on April 25-26, 2017. Registration for this event is open via the CMF Spring 2017 Meeting page.
Speakers include Jim Matthews, director, technical standards, Corning Incorporated, who serves as the new chair of the CMF this year; Mary Saunders, incoming ANSI vice president, government relations; and Kenneth Witcher, Ph.D., dean of the College of Aeronautics, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Attendees are also invited to an optional tour of the MIT Media Lab on Wednesday, April 26, from 1 pm to 2 pm, with advanced registration required. The tour is an opportunity to network with counterparts from industry, and provides exposure to relevant industry insights. For example, tour attendees will learn how product designers, nanotechnologists, data-visualization experts, industry researchers, and pioneers of computer interfaces work side by side to inventand reinventhow humans experience, and can be aided by, technology.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided during the meeting, and ANSI is also hosting a dinner on the evening of Tuesday, April 25 (location TBD). Attendees can also receive NFPA negotiated hotel rates.
About the CMF
The CMF serves as a venue for ANSI members representing the full spectrum of U.S. industry to examine issues related to national and global standards, as well as conformity assessment developments. The forum allows industry members an opportunity to collectively shape and influence U.S. policy in the domestic and international arena, while bolstering cross-networking and alliances.
