People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards and conformance community.
CSA Group, a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has announced that Farhan Imam is its new chief financial officer.
Mr. Imam comes to CSA from the Pipeline Performance Group of Shawcor Ltd., a global oilfield services company, where he served as vice president of finance. There, he led a large team of finance professionals, and oversaw the company's financial management and overall direction of financial planning and analysis. He was integral in the company's strategic decision making in bid approvals, M&A, hedging, and capital expenditures. Mr. Imam, a Certified Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant, was also a member of the tax team at Ernst & Young and the audit staff at Deloitte.

"His extensive experience will provide the financial leadership essential to supporting CSA Group's growth aspirations. InfoComm International, an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has appointed Heidi Voorhees as chief operating officer. In this role, Ms. Voorhees will lead the organization's North American operations and global marketing and communications initiatives.
Prior to joining InfoComm, Ms. Voorhees spent almost 10 years at SmithBucklin, an association management company. There, she oversaw executive events, tradeshows, and other gatherings for up to 20,000 participants. She also served as vice president of strategic initiatives for the Institute of Food Technologists, and senior vice president at global event company Experient. She holds an MBA from Northwestern University.
