The International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has announced that Caitlyn Pollihan will serve as its new executive director, effective July 1.

Prior to joining ISA, Ms. Pollihan was the executive director of the Council of Western State Foresters and the Western Forestry Leadership Coalition, a role she has held since 2009. There, she oversaw the strategic goals and agendas of the organization, and worked with members and staff to promote the organization's success. Previously, she worked for the same organization as governmental affairs director, contributing significantly to the passage of key legislation and educating stakeholders on legislative proposals and national policy.

"The ISA Board of Directors is looking forward to having Caitlyn join us as our next executive director," said Michelle Mitchell, president of ISA's Board of Directors. "We believe that her specific experience with the Council of Western State Foresters and the Western Forestry Leadership Coalition as well as her experience in governmental affairs and organizational communications will be an excellent asset to our organization. This experience, combined with her passion for membership organizations, will continue moving ISA forward in fulfilling our mission."

IPC - Association Connecting Electronics Industries, an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has appointed Dave Hernandez as senior director of learning and professional development. In this role, Mr. Hernandez will facilitate the growth of IPC EDGE, a new learning management system. He will also focus on expanding the organization's online educational offerings for the next generation of employees in the electronics industry.

Mr. Hernandez has 18 years of experience in education, most recently at the American Welding Society (AWS), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, where he served as the director of education development and systems for eight years. Previously, he was the director of training and development for a financial services firm in South Florida.

"IPC is excited to add Dave Hernandez as the senior director of learning and professional development," said John Mitchell, IPC president and CEO. "Dave brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help IPC grow as an association and further enhance our members' success."
