Reminder: The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) will host a one-day seminar on the American National Standard (ANS) development process and procedures on September 26, 2017, from 8:30 am-4 pm EST at ANSI's New York office. Participants who enroll in The American Way: The American National Standard (ANS) Development Process will learn why U.S. voluntary consensus standards are important, discover ANSI's role in the U.S. standardization system, and get a detailed review of the ANSI Essential Requirements: Due process requirements for American National Standards (www.ansi.org/essentialrequirements). The course is intended for staff from standards developing organizations who administer the American National Standards (ANS) process. The course also provides a good starting point for those who are considering becoming an ANSI-accredited standards developer (ASD).
