The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is pleased to announce that Susanah Doucet assumed the role of director of communications and public relations, effective June 1, 2018. She succeeds Elizabeth Neiman in the position, as Ms. Neiman makes a move to the West Coast with her family.
In her new role, Ms. Doucet is responsible for the development and management of the Institute's publicity, outreach, and communications activities. Included in these responsibilities are press relations, creative and editorial management of all internal and external communications, and special event management. She will be directly involved in the promotion and messaging of each of ANSI's standards-based program areas, as well as its accreditation program and other initiatives.
Ms. Doucet joined ANSI in 2009 as communications manager, after an earlier career in print publishing and media production. She was promoted to ANSI senior communications manager in 2012, and then again to associate director of communications in 2015.
Ms. Neiman joined ANSI in 2007 as communications manager. She was promoted to director of communications in 2009 and senior director of communications in 2012. ANSI thanks Ms. Neiman for 11 years of exceptional contributions, leadership, and friendship, and wishes her the very best in her new endeavors.
