USNC Publishes Winter 2019 Edition of the Current Newsletter Focusing on Regional Partnerships

The U.S. National Committee (USNC) of the International Electrotechnical Commission(IEC) has published the Winter 2019 edition of its quarterly newsletter, the USNC Current. The issue focuses on regional partnerships with article submissions about cooperative activities of the IEC Latin America Regional Center (IEC-LARC) and the Pan American Standards Commission (COPANT). Also in this issue Joel Solis, General Secretary of the Council for Harmonization of Electrotechnical Standardization of the Nations of the Americas (CANENA)writes about how standards and the electrical industry have evolved over time and some of today's challenges presently facing the industry.

About the USNC

A committee of ANSI, the USNC serves as the focal point for U.S. parties who are interested in the development, promulgation, and use of globally relevant standards for the electrotechnical industry. The Committee is also engaged in the assessment of conformance to standards, undertaking work in areas such as testing, certification, and accreditation.
