Standards in the Digital Age: Attend USNC's Summit for Young and Emerging Professionals

Register for the November 8 Event in Washington, DC

The United States National Committee (USNC) of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), a committee of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), invites emerging professionals to join its summit, "Standards and Conformity Assessment in the Digital Age," on Friday, November 8, in Washington, DC, in the National Housing Center, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET.

The event will bring together distinguished experts in the fields of cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, conformity assessment, and standards development to highlight the important role of standards and conformance in the ever-expanding digital sector. They will lead presentations that will include "IEC Standards in One Day" and "Standards and AI." An interactive discussion will examine "The Digital Transformation of Standards Development." Additionally, panel discussion topics will highlight:

  • The Value and Impact of Standards Today
  • An Introduction to IEC Conformity Assessment
  • Standards, Conformity Assessment, and Your Career

The USNC is dedicated to supporting the development of international standards that reinforce the cyber resiliency and cybersecurity aspects of electrical devices, particularly as they relate to personal health, smart manufacturing, and smart cities, while continuing to advance and protect U.S. interests in the standards development process. Relevant stakeholders include professionals from business, government, industry, academia, and the non-profit sectors.

The USNC will also host a Young Emerging Professionals reception Thursday evening before the summit from 5:00 p.m-7:00 p.m. ET at 1110 Vermont Ave NW Washington DC, in Lincoln Restaurant's Emancipation and Flag Rooms.
