NSF International, a member and audited designator of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has announced two additions to its senior leadership.

John Rowley has been appointed vice president, global food division. In this role, Mr. Rowley will oversee the organization’s food safety, quality, and product certification services.

Mr. Rowley brings with him 25 years of global experience, including work in the testing, inspection, and certification industry as well as the food industry. Previously, he was CEO of SAI Global Assurance, where he accelerated growth and significantly enhanced the organization’s profitability. Prior to his work at SAI, Mr. Rowley was with Lloyd’s Register Group. There, he improved the performance of the global Quality Assurance & Inspection Services division, and served as the company’s Asia Pacific President. Mr. Rowley also worked with Ecolab Inc., leading their business in Asia. He has been based in London, Sydney, Singapore, Shanghai, and Hong Kong.

Angelo Petrillo has been named NSF’s vice president, business development. In this role, Mr. Petrillo will lead a global sales team to support thousands of customers and expand opportunities for the organization’s businesses around the world.

Mr. Petrillo has over 20 years of experience in sales, service, and operations, including work in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Prior to joining NSF, he was with Blue Yonder (formerly JDA), one of the world’s top digital supply chain fulfillment providers, where he led pre-sales and sales support in Latin America. He has directed operations in Latin America, Africa, Europe, Asia, and the United States, and held progressively senior roles at global technology companies including IBM, Microsoft, and Oracle.

“We are pleased to welcome two dynamic and proven leaders to our global organization,” said NSF vice president and chief operating officer Tom Chestnut. “Their keen business acumen and skill depth will help further sharpen our work in international markets as we prepare for NSF International’s next 75 years.”
