The National Elevator Industry, Inc. (NEII), a member of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has announced that Amy Blankenbiller is their new executive director.
Ms. Blankenbiller assumed the role after serving as NEII’s vice president of government affairs since 2009. She has over 30 years of experience in leadership, advocacy, strategic planning, and management. Prior to joining NEII, Ms. Blankenbiller was the president and founder of AjB Strategies, LLC, a consulting firm that worked with associations, organizations, and private businesses to implement government strategies. She was also the Kansas Chamber of Commerce president and CEO.
Previously, Ms. Blankenbiller spent almost two decades in Washington, DC, working on federal and state policy efforts and association management issues. Ms. Blankenbiller received an appointment from President George H.W. Bush and served in his administration, and also worked on Capitol Hill for a U.S. Representative and a U.S. Senator.
LMI, an ANSI member, has announced two promotions within their senior staff.
Pete Pflugrath is LMI’s new senior vice president of markets and growth. He will lead the organization’s business development and customer relationships, focusing on meeting revenue performance goals by aligning resources, investments, and strategic focus. Previously, Mr. Pflugrath held leadership roles at LMI including interim chief growth officer, vice president of logistics, and vice president of business development for the defense market. He has over 30 years of experience in advanced research and development solutions. Mr. Pflugrath’s work was awarded “Best Fielded Artificial Intelligence System in the Department of Defense (DoD)” by the National Defense Industrial Association and “Best Information Sharing Application in DoD” by the DoD Office of the Chief Information Officer.
Josh Wilson was appointed as LMI’s senior vice president of service lines and technology. In this role, he will oversee the development lifecycle from ideation to deployment, including the integration of expertise in management advisory services, logistics, and digital and analytic solutions with the chief technology office to design and enable scalable, repeatable customer solutions. Mr. Wilson will also lead digital and analytic solutions, which he has led since the service line’s formation in June 2020, guiding the concept development and customer delivery of capabilities for advanced analytics and artificial intelligence. Previously, Mr. Wilson was LMI’s vice president of advanced analytics. He is a former U.S. Army officer who served two overseas tours focused on infrastructure reconstruction efforts in Iraq.
