Last Chance! Register for July 13 AMSC Feedstock Materials for Additive Manufacturing Virtual Event

7/09/2021

Register now for the July 13 America Makes and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) virtual event, The Current and Future Landscape for Additive Manufacturing (AM) Feedstock/Precursor Materials Standardization. A draft agenda is available, with the program featuring presentations and a panel discussion on the attributes of AM feedstock/precursor materials that lend themselves to standardization, and what is happening or needs to happen in terms of standardization of metals, polymers, ceramics, composites, and the like.

In advance of the meeting, participants are also invited to participate in a short survey on the AMSC Feedstock/Precursor Materials Standardization Gaps. The survey invites comments on the gaps identified in the Feedstock/Precursor Materials Section (2.2.1) of the Standardization Roadmap for Additive Manufacturing (version 2.0, June 2018) developed by the America Makes and ANSI Additive Manufacturing Standardization Collaborative (AMSC) and on the activity updates in the April 2021 AMSC Gaps Progress Report. It also seeks comments more generally on feedstock/precursor materials issues of concern, including topics and gaps not addressed in the roadmap.

The July 13 meeting is the latest in a series of events hosted by the AMSC which works to accelerate the development of industry-wide AM standards and specifications consistent with stakeholder needs. The AMSC tracks standardization community efforts to address the gaps identified in the roadmap and drives coordinated standards development activity to help grow the additive manufacturing industry.
