Calling All ANSI Members: Join the U.S.-Korea Standards Dialogue and Open Forum in December

Registration Open for ANSI members

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) will co-host the 2021 U.S.-Korea Standards Dialogue and Open Forum on December 1-2. Guest experts will share insights on standards development, technology trends, and market demands, while exploring opportunities for collaboration between the U.S. and South Korea. The annual forum establishes a valuable platform for leaders and subject-matter experts from government, academia, and industries from both countries to enhance mutual understanding, exchange expertise and best practices, and develop future cooperation.

The 2021 conferenceopen to all ANSI memberswill be held as a two-part virtual event with two sessions (please note the dates and EST and KST times):

Open Forum:

December 1, 7:10 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. EST/ December 2, 9:10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. KST

The open forum will include opening remarks, technical keynotes and presentations by government officials, subject matter scholars, and industry experts. Speakers will include S. Joe Bhatia, president and CEO of ANSI, Sanghoon Lee, KATS administrator, James Kim, chair and CEO of AMCHAM Korea, and more.

Four Parallel Technical Sessions:

December 2, 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. EST/ December 2, 9:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. KST

Technical sessions will include small-scale seminars/workshops for industry experts to discuss practical and technical details focusing on:

  • Quantum technology
  • Artificial intelligence
  • Semiconductor
  • Future of mobility

The four technical sessions will have limited space to keep the sessions small, focused, and productive. Participation in the technical sessions may be subject to approval by the co-organizers.
