ANSI has released two course videos in an effort to revitalize training offerings for standards participants at every level and support their effective participation in domestic and international activities. The two new courses, Leadership Strategies and Skills: The Fundamentals and ISO Working Group Convenor Training, are freely available on ANSI’s training courses and webinars page. These courses are also available in captioned versions.
Leadership Strategies and Skills: The Fundamentals provides an overview of the most important characteristics a leader should possess and offers strategies to develop and hone these skills. It also offers practical guidance on leadership in the standards setting environment. The course is applicable to any leadership role – both leaders just starting out as well as experienced leaders looking for a great self-check.
ISO Working Group Convenor Training provides an overview of the roles and responsibilities of an ISO Working Group (WG) convenor, as well as resources to help convenors succeed and get help when needed. It is strongly recommended for all U.S. experts serving as ISO WG convenors.
