People on the Move

1/21/2022

People on the Move highlights the career advancements of high-level trailblazers working professionally in diverse areas of standardization, contributing every day to the strength and success of the U.S. standards and conformance community.

The Window & Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA) has named Craig Drumheller its new vice president of technical activities. In this role, Mr. Drumheller will oversee and manage WDMA’s technical, codes, and standards activities.

Prior to joining WDMA, Mr. Drumheller was with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), most recently serving as assistant vice president for codes and standards and managing the association’s construction codes and standards department and its member committees. He also oversaw development of the 2020 National Green Building Standard (ICC 700). Previously, he served as a senior energy engineer at the NAHB Research Center.

“We’re excited to welcome Craig to the WDMA team. His extensive background in building codes and standards and his specific knowledge of building envelope issues will be a tremendous asset to WDMA and its members,” said Michael O’Brien, WDMA president and CEO. “His established reputation in the field will no doubt allow him to hit the ground running.”

The Water Quality Association (WQA) has appointed Jeremy Pollack as its new government affairs director. In this role, he will be responsible for building strategies to support creation and passage of key legislation and regulation, including working with legislators, coalition building, and advancing the association’s positions. He replaces David Loveday, who passed away in July after 15 years with WQA.

“This is pivotal role for WQA,” said Tom Bruursema, WQA’s associate executive director for member and public engagement. “Jeremy will be responsible for developing and guiding the association’s U.S. domestic federal legislative and regulatory agenda, in addition to managing international, regional, and state level affairs.”

Previously, Pollack was with ASHRAE as manager of federal and global government affairs. He served as the chief liaison for ASHRAE’s members to Congressional and federal agencies on issues surrounding resiliency, water, energy, sustainability, and COVID-19 guidance. He has also worked in an advisory role for WQA, and worked on the association’s behalf while with Gephardt Government Affairs.
