Register Today: ANSI Nanotechnology Standards Panel Second Workshop on Advanced Materials

3/14/2022

ANSI’s Nanotechnology Standards Panel (ANSI-NSP) invites interested stakeholders to register for its second workshop focused on advanced materials on May 3-4, 2022, from 10 a.m. ET to approximately 1:00 p.mET on both days. Agendas and speaker information will be added shortly.

The virtual meeting will build off the first ANSI-NSP workshop on advanced materials, held in August 2020, which covered U.S. and international perspectives relative to advanced and emerging materials, including the opportunities and challenges relative to these materials. During the first workshop, the ANSI-NSP suggested that many of the standards and related practices developed for nanomaterials can be applied to many materials considered to be “advanced.”

Relevant stakeholders include industry, government representatives, representatives from non-governmental organizations, and academics engaged in this subject area, among others.

Information, including how to register as well as an initial agenda for this meeting, will be distributed shortly. Please contact Heather Benko, ANSI senior manager of nanotechnology standardization activities, with any questions: [email protected].

More about ANSI-NSP

In its eighteenth year, ANSI’s Nanotechnology Standards Panel (ANSI-NSP) was established at the request of Dr. John Marburger, then Director of the Office and Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) to coordinate the development of standards, including nomenclature, in the area of nanotechnology. ANSI-NSP has supported the standards development that enable the safety and efficiency of nanotechnology-driven materials, products, and processes around the globe.
