The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is hosting a bilateral virtual meeting with the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China (CNCA) on June 15, 2022, at 8:30 PM U.S. Eastern Time (June 16, 8:30 AM Beijing Time) to discuss certification and accreditation–related issues and recent regulatory development in China and the United States. Interested ANSI members are welcome to register here before June 6.
Following the ANSI-CNCA Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and the bilateral meeting between ANSI and CNCA last December, both sides committed to maintaining regular communication and exchanging views on important issues of mutual concern. This meeting aims to address practical issues and provide more regulatory clarity for relevant American companies’ business in China, including the current status of conformity assessment regulations in China, the process for foreign-invested certification and accreditation bodies to apply for accreditation and acceptance in China, and acceptance of customer data from accredited labs located outside of China. Members are encouraged to send questions to ANSI ahead of time to have an interactive discussion with the CNCA experts.
