USAID to Host July 20 Webinar on Building Public Trust to Improve the Business Environment

7/08/2022

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) encourages its members and relevant stakeholders to register for an upcoming United States Agency for International Development (USAID) webinar exploring “Building Public Trust to Improve the Business Environment.”

The third session in a webinar summer series from USAID’s Center for Economics and Market Development, the webinar will discuss how development partners can build trust between the public and private sectors in their partner countries.

Participants will gain insights on private sector needs and emerging development practices—that foster transparency, accountability, and public trust—to improve the business climate, promote investor confidence, and spur economic growth. Topics will include leveraging technology to facilitate and systematize public-private dialogue; promoting broad private sector representation in dialogue; improving institutions and rules to reinforce private trust; and abating corrupt practices and promoting fair competition.

“Building Public Trust to Improve the Business Environment” will be held on Wednesday, July 20, at 9 am ET. All interested stakeholders, including international development professionals, industry experts, and government regulators, are welcome to register for this free event.

USAID’s summer webinar series are intended to promote discussion about the challenges and opportunities of the digital economy and offer an opportunity for international development partners, private-sector leaders, and other thought leaders to discuss the pressing issue of promoting economic development in a post-COVID world.
