Register Now for the ASEAN – U.S. Electric Vehicle Virtual Workshop on Technical Standards

Registration is now open for the ASEAN – U.S. Electric Vehicle Workshop on Technical Standards, sponsored by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) and co-hosted by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), with support from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) under the U.S.–Indo-Pacific Standards & Technology Cooperation Program (STCP) and the U.S.–ASEAN Electric Vehicle Initiative.

On January 18–19, 2023, from 8:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. EST (January 19–20, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. ICT), this two-day virtual workshop will facilitate valuable discussions among key ASEAN and U.S. policy-makers and industry experts regarding the benefits of international technical standards and conformance to support the development of a cutting-edge and sustainable EV supply chain and ecosystem in ASEAN, while promoting commercial and technical exchanges between the U.S. and ASEAN partners.

The key topics to be discussed during the workshop include:

  • EV safety standards and development trends in global and regional context
  • U.S. and ASEAN EV standardization priorities and international cooperation
  • Standards for common and smart charging infrastructure
  • Developing standards to support the full life cycle of EV batteries

Participation in this workshop will be offered to a limited audience from the relevant U.S. and ASEAN member state stakeholders. To request attendance, please complete the Request for Registration Form no later than January 11, 2023.
