The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has named Kate Huskin as vice president, communications and public relations. Huskin will be responsible for the strategic direction of both internal and external communications for the association.
For her role, she will oversee public relations and member company communications, as well as work to drive brand awareness for association-owned trade shows, provide communications counsel to AEM’s senior leadership team and service areas, and lead crisis communications efforts. She will also collaborate with the human resources and administrative teams at AEM to support its culture and drive greater employee engagement.
“Kate has led the charge in telling our industry’s story, communicating the association’s leadership on behalf of our member companies and building a positive perception of the equipment manufacturing industry and the customers it serves,” said AEM senior vice president Kip Eideberg. “Her expertise, energy, and knowledge will ensure that the association is well positioned for continued success.”
Huskin joined AEM in 2015 and has held various positions over the past eight years, including senior director of communications. She previously held strategic communications roles at ManPowerGroup and Janet Diedrichs & Associates.
Kaiser Permanente has promoted Narayanan “Nari” Gopala to chief digital officer, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals.
In his role, Gopala will lead cross-functional teams to transform a full range of digital experiences for the organization’s 12.6 million members, as well as its clinical workforce.
Gopala brings more than 25 years of experience leading global digital platforms, including previous leadership positions at Amazon Web Services and Sony Online Entertainment.
“We are excited to promote Nari to the chief digital officer role,” said Kaiser Permanente executive vice president and chief information and technology officer Diane Comer. “Since joining Kaiser Permanente in 2021, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to our digital transformation journey, ensuring that our teams and our members have the best digital experience there is to offer.”
