The Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer (FLC) will launch its "Meet the Labs" series, a virtual webinar series that will showcase innovative projects from cutting-edge laboratories, with a debut session highlighting the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)’s Engineering Laboratory.
The free webinar will be held on Wednesday, July 26, from 3:15 p.m.-4:15 p.m. ET.
NIST will provide an overview of the mission and activities from the NIST Engineering Laboratory, which serves to promote U.S. innovation and industrial competitiveness by advancing measurement, science, standards, and technology for engineered systems. Instructors will include the NIST Engineering Laboratory’s Dr. Joannie Chin, director; Andrew Persily, NIST Fellow; Nicolas Bovet, mechanical engineer; and Ho Yeung, electronics engineer. John Bittman, interagency policy specialist, NIST Technology Partnership Office, will moderate the session.
Attendees will get an overview of the NIST Engineering Laboratory's activities, from information on research opportunities and facilities, to NIST’s work with technical committees and standards developing organizations.
