Registration Now Open! Korea-U.S. Standards Forum to Discuss AI, Semiconductors, Autonomous Vehicles, and More

Registration is now open for the 2023 Korea-U.S. Standards Forum! The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) will co-host the hybrid event Wednesday, August 9 (EST) / Thursday, August 10 (KST), with in-person attendance at the Grand InterContinental Seoul. The annual forum establishes a valuable platform for leaders and subject-matter experts from industries, government, and academia from both countries to enhance mutual understanding, exchange expertise and best practices, and develop future cooperation.

Each year, the forum provides a unique opportunity for U.S. experts and Korean executives and officials to come together to discuss standards across a range of critical sectors. This year’s forum will feature breakout sessions on the several strategic areas featuring key U.S. public and private sector stakeholders. These include sessions on:

Semiconductors

  • Dr. Mary Bedner, co-leader for the CHIPS R&D Standards, CHIPS Office, NIST
  • Daniel DiMase, president and CEO, Aerocyonics Inc

Artificial Intelligence

  • Rohit Israni, director, Cloud and AI Ecosystem Engineering, Intel; chair of AI Standards U.S. (INCITS/AI)
  • Muhammad Ali, senior standards strategy and policy leader, HP

Autonomous Vehicles

  • Dr. David Wollman, deputy division chief, Smart Connected Systems Division, NIST
  • Aaron Prather, director, Robotics and Autonomous Systems Program, ASTM
  • Darcyne Foldenauer, director, Automated Vehicle Safety Consortium (AVSC), SAE

Quantum Technology
