Give Students a Blueprint for Success: ANSI Connects the Next Generation with Standards Experts

4/19/2024

ANSI is Seeking Prospective Standards Speakers!

Standards professionals are the pioneers of standardization efforts that supports innovative and emerging sectors, from electric vehicles to smart farming to AI and beyond. However, while standards support virtually everything we do, they are often underrepresented in U.S. education.

To address this knowledge gap, ANSI’s Committee on Education (CoE) coordinates a Request a Speaker on Standards program.

Available to open to professors and instructors at any U.S. post-secondary educational institution, the program connects professors and their students with relevant experts to demonstrate standards' impact on a technology, field, or sector. Standards experts also shed light on how standards and conformity assessment activities are directly relevant to particular fields of study, and how standardization can be used as a strategic tool to solve complex issues and advance sectors.

ANSI invites professionals in the standards community to participate in the program, sharing insights with the next generation and explaining how their role in standards helps to advance health and safety, and makes a difference in the world. Mentors and standards professionals willing to volunteer their time are essential to support the next generation of standardization leaders so they have a blueprint for success in the field.

More information about this unique opportunity is available on ANSI’s website.
