Join ANSI and KATS at the 2024 U.S.-Korea Standards Forum in Washington, D.C.

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) will co-host the hybrid 2024 U.S.-Korea Standards Forum on Friday, June 28, with in-person attendance at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. The annual forum is a valuable platform for leaders and subject-matter experts across industries, government, and academia from both countries to enhance mutual understanding, exchange expertise and best practices, and develop future cooperation. This year, keynote remarks will be provided by Tommy Gardner, CTO, HP Federal, and Dr. Joon-sung KOH, senior research fellow, Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade.

Registration is now open. In-person and virtual attendees can register here.

Each year, the forum provides a unique opportunity for U.S. experts and Korean executives and officials to discuss standards across a range of sectors, identifying challenges and areas of potential collaboration in emerging technologies. This year’s forum will feature technical presentations and breakout sessions on the following strategic areas:

  • Semiconductors
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Green Energy and Carbon Neutrality
  • Quantum Technology
  • Next Generation Mobility
  • Digital Identity

More detailed information on discussion topics and speakers can be found on the event webpage.

The forum will begin at 8:00 a.m. ET. Technical breakout sessions will begin at 9:00 a.m. ET, and will be followed by a networking lunch at 11:30 a.m. ET. In-person attendees may also join a special session on standards education following lunch.

In-person attendance allows for rich networking opportunities, potential follow-up meetings, and engagement with an impressive range of U.S. and Korean movers and shakers from both the public and private sectors. This year, the South Korean in-person delegation will be led by KATS Administrator Chongwook Chin.

Anyone interested in speaking at the event may contact Laiyin Yuan ([email protected]) or Joseph Conrad ([email protected]) for more details as soon as possible.
