Call for Nominations for 2025 ANSI Board of Directors, Policy Advisory Groups, and Committee on Education

Nominations due by July 19

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) invites all of its members to recommend qualified candidates for the 2025 ANSI Board of Directors, the National Policy Advisory Group (NPAG), the International Policy Advisory Group (IPAG), the Intellectual Property Rights Policy Advisory Group (IPRPAG), and the Committee on Education (CoE).

All nominations are due either by email or via ANSI’s online process no later than Friday, July 19, 2024. Access the nominations forms for the Board of Directors, Policy Advisory Groups (PAGs), and Committee on Education (CoE) in ANSI’s secure member document library.

The Board is responsible for the management and control of the activities, property, and affairs of ANSI, including the strategic direction of the Institute, the annual budget, and the scope of responsibilities of the Board Committees, the Committees of ANSI, the Member Forums, and the Policy Advisory Groups. Candidates should be able to attend meetings, participate actively, and make an effective contribution to the work of the Board.

The PAGs identify trends and issues within the expertise of each group, and, where appropriate, provide recommendations to the Executive Committee on relevant actions. PAGs are advisory in nature and their members are not fiduciaries to ANSI, but they play an important role in developing policy positions in each of their respective focus areas.

The CoE is responsible for all Institute initiatives related to standards and conformity assessment education and outreach, as well as fulfilling related objectives of the United States Standards Strategy.

About the Nominations Process

ANSI strives to assure balance and diversity within its membership, and is seeking Board members who enhance member relationships and networks. To facilitate the nomination process, ANSI has compiled a set of guidelines that outline the sectors that are currently underrepresented in ANSI's Board of Directors. Additional guidance on applying to the Board, can be found in a letter issued by ANSI’s president and CEO, Joe Bhatia.
