Movers and Shakers

3/27/2026

Movers and Shakers highlights the career advancements and accomplishments of leaders in diverse areas of standardization, contributing to the strength and success of the U.S. standards and conformance system.

Christine Yanelli has joined the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as its director of human resources.

A dynamic leader with more than 15 years of experience across all functional areas of human resources, Yanelli joins the Institute from Harc, Inc., a nonprofit agency dedicated to serving people with intellectual disabilities, where she held the role of director of human resources.

Previously, she was the senior human resources manager at Prometheus Research/IQVIA, a global provider of integrated data management services for healthcare and biomedical research.

Known for her expertise in relationship building, team collaboration, and employee relations, Yanelli holds dual professional certifications, as both a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and Professional in Human Resources (PHR). She is in the process of pursuing a master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of New Haven.

Dr. Ritesh Ghimire of the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) was recently recognized as a 2025 SAE International Fellow and 2026 AIAA Associate Fellow.

One of the highest honors bestowed by SAE, the prestigious designation recognizes industry leaders who have made extraordinary and sustained impacts on the mobility industry through technical excellence, leadership, innovation, and dedicated service to the profession and to SAE.

“SAE Fellows, whose leadership and technical contributions strengthen our organization, embody the highest level of professional achievement,” said Carla Bailo, 2026 SAE president and chair of the board of directors. “Election to SAE Fellow reflects an individual’s lasting influence on mobility engineering and reinforces the standards of excellence that guide SAE’s strategic direction.”

He was also selected to the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Class of 2026 Associate Fellows, a distinction recognizing individuals “who have accomplished or been in charge of important engineering or scientific work, or who have done original work of outstanding merit, or who have otherwise made outstanding contributions to the arts, sciences, or technology of aeronautics or astronautics.”

A proudly served U.S. Army veteran, Dr. Ghimire's dedicated leadership and contributions to the ANSI Unmanned Aircraft Systems Standardization Collaborative (UASSC) roadmaps have resulted in the creation of numerous standards committees and the publication of various voluntary consensus standards.

Dr. Ghimire was the recipient of ANSI’s 2025 Finegan Standards Medal, which honors individuals who have shown extraordinary leadership in the development and application of voluntary standards. He was also the recipient of ANSI’s 2020-2021 Meritorious Service Award in 2022, for his outstanding contributions to the U.S. voluntary standardization system and enabling ANSI to attain the objectives for which it was founded.
