The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Joey Gase Motorsports with Scott Osteen are teaming up to educate the public about fire safety and the life-saving codes and standards that protect people and property during select NASCAR race events.
The March 28 event will support NFPA’s codes and standards campaign “Safety Doesn’t Happen by Chance,” highlighting critical systems that help keep people safe at home, work, and in their communities. Racer Joey Gase will participate in NFPA 250, and will return to the track with NFPA on October 10 at Charlotte Motor Speedway to support of Fire Prevention Week.
“NASCAR has always placed safety at the forefront, both for competitors on the track and the fans who attend its races,” said NFPA vice president of outreach and advocacy Lorraine Carli. “This collaboration reflects the NFPA mission to protect people and property from fire and other hazards. With our sponsorship of the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series NFPA 250, and our continuing work with Joey Gase, we are excited to elevate national awareness about the importance of codes and standards and the role they play in safeguarding people, property, and communities.”
