The Radiant Professionals Alliance (RPA), part of ANSI member and audited designator IAPMO, has announced the upgrade of their free commercial building HVAC system efficiency comparison application, the Building Efficiency System Tool (BEST).
BEST is a software tool that allows users to accurately compare different styles of HVAC systems, all tested to different standards, with various efficiency ratings, as they are applied in an actual building. Recent revisions include information on the savings consumption and energy costs of domestic water heating systems, as well as per-square-foot energy load based on building usage and profile, and cost of local utilities with forecasted increasing energy costs.
