NFPA has posted an on-demand recording of a webinar, “Fire Safety Challenges of "Green" Buildings and Attributes.”

In 2012, NFPA’s Fire Protection Research Foundation published a literature review on ‘green’ building materials, systems, and features, and the fire safety challenges associated with them. Since that time, there have been several major fire events involving ‘green’ attributes and design features. The webinar reviews how these fire safety challenges have developed since 2012, providing information on related fire events; emerging ‘green’ building materials, systems, and features; and associated research, regulatory changes, engineering approaches, risk mitigation strategies, and firefighting tactics.
