OPEI Gives Tips for an Outdoor Office Space

10/11/2021

The Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI) has published a list of suggestions for remote workers who wish to bring their home office outdoors when the weather is suitable.

Working outdoors relieves stress, allows you to enjoy nature during your 9-5, and provides a beautiful background for video calls. OPEI’s tips for creating an outdoor home office to use from fall into the winter months include:

  • Use outdoor rated power cords and make sure your Wi-Fi signal is strong
  • Add portable heaters or a fire pit and bring pillows or blankets outside
  • Build a patio cover like a pergola, awning, gazebo, or pavilion to protect from the elements
  • Use speakers or headphones to tune out neighborhood noise and improve focus

Read all of OPEI’s suggestions for an outdoor office on the company’s website.
