The Entertainment Services and Technology Association (ESTA) is partnering with Netflix to form the Equitable Workplace Initiative. This program aims to support individuals from historically underrepresented groups in entering the motion picture and television industry.

Launching this summer, the initiative’s focus is to improve equity and diversity in the workforce, develop well-trained workers, and increase representation within rental company management. To accomplish this, the program will provide grants to eligible members of ESTA’s Production Equipment Rental Group (PERG) that cover the first six months of employment for new hires. Rental companies participating in the program will offer industry insight, educational opportunities, and mentorship to trainees selected from the entertainment industry, local community organizations, and colleges and universities.
