ASME’s podcast, ASME TechCast, explored the growth of carbon capture in its newest episode, released earlier this week.
“Carbon Capture is Poised for Fast Growth” features Neeraj Gupta, technical director of carbon management for Battelle, speaking on how carbon capture and sequestration will support nations’ goals to cut greenhouse gas emissions. While carbon capture will play a big role in meeting the US and other nations’ goals of cutting emissions by at least 40 percent below 1990 levels in 2030, and reaching global net-zero GHG emissions by 2050, it is still early in its implementation and there are barriers to development.
