SAE International’s recent episode of its podcast, “SAE Tomorrow Today,” examines ways to advance mobility safely—both more affordably and more sustainably.
The January episode features insights from Carla Bailo, 2024 SAE president and CEO, ECOS Consulting, who shared how she plans to take a fresh look at the mobility ecosystem and inspire a diverse set of stakeholders to work together to advance the future of mobility.
She also spoke about the importance of standards. “I think the world still needs the standards that we produce,” she said. “They are vital, but I think we need to become much more agile in how we produce them and how we revise them because, technology is moving so quickly that if we don't become more agile and fast with the things that we do, we simply will become non relevant and other bodies will do it and/or new organizations will be started that will do it.”
